Parameter 1860 | Fanuc
Observe via DGN 450 the curve.
Set 1860 to or a known safe value (e.g., 200 mm/min for linear axes, 1000 deg/min for rotary). fanuc parameter 1860
To refresh the data in Parameter 1860, follow the (often referred to as "homing the absolute axis"): Set Parameter 1815 bit 4 (APZ) to 0 for the specific axis. Restart the machine (this clears the old position). Manually move the axis to the desired "Home" position. Set Parameter 1815 bit 4 (APZ) back to 1 . Observe via DGN 450 the curve
The cause was a mystery. A power blip? A failing battery in the servo amp? A gremlin? All Cole knew was that Goliath was catatonic. Restart the machine (this clears the old position)
Fanuc is a critical axis-specific parameter used to store the current position of an absolute position detector (absolute encoder). It represents the coordinate value of the machine's current position within the absolute position detection system. Key Function & Behavior
Modifying CNC parameters can cause unexpected machine motion or damage if performed incorrectly. Always consult your machine tool builder’s manual and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures. The author assumes no liability for improper use of Parameter 1860.
