If you are re-amping or repairing the crossovers, do not assume the woofer handles deep sub-bass duty alone. The passive radiator on the back is doing heavy lifting. If you feed the woofer a signal below 25Hz at high volume (trying to push that "spec" of 28Hz), you will bottom out the woofer because the passive radiator can't keep up with the air displacement.
