The 4K remaster of Glory is a revelation. The 35mm grain is intact, but the black levels are perfect. The final assault on Fort Wagner—previously muddy and dark on VHS and DVD—is now a terrifying ballet of smoke, fire, and blue Union uniforms against the Confederate earth. It remains one of the greatest war films shot, and HD does it justice.
