Unlike legendary open-source projects like RPCS3 for the PS3, the PCSX4 "GitHub" was a carefully crafted mirage. Its creators built a fake page to fool skeptics, making it appear as though the project was open-source to gain legitimacy. In reality, the "emulator" was a front for a scam. When users tried to download the software, they were met with a series of endless surveys, each claiming to be for a necessary "installation key" or "BIOS file".
